A new record Giroud could break if he starts vs. Everton

Chelsea will be travelling to Goodison Park this evening to face Everton in the Premier League.

Manager Frank Lampard will have a difficult situation over who he should be play as center forward between Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner.

We, however, believe Giroud stand a higher chance of starting ahead of the two other young players.

This is because the 34-year-old player despite his age has been spectacular for the Blues in their last few matches.

Giroud scored 4 goals for Chelsea vs. Sevilla then scored another goal vs. Leeds United in the Premier League.

If the Frenchman starts for the Blues tonight he could be on his way to break another record if he scores.

A goal for Giroud tonight at Goodison Park will see him become the second Chelsea player in Premier League history to find the back of the net in seven consecutive starts.

The first Chelsea player to attain this feat was Mark Stein between December 1993 and February 1994.

Apart from scoring against Sevilla and Leeds United, Giroud had scored goals in earlier starts against Crystal Palace, Watford, Norwich City, Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers towards the end of last season.

We hope to see the France international return to action tonight for the Blues.

Chelsea are currently seated at the 3rd spot behind Liverpool and Tottenham on the EPL table.
