Worth breaking the bank for: Arsenal told to sign Newcastle United striker

As football clubs prepare for the January transfer window, Arsenal have been advised on the players to make moves for.

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has sent a message to the North London club to go as far “breaking the bank” to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

While Gabriel Jesus is back to fine form in recent weeks, Merson still believe in the new for the Gunner to sign a new striker.

According to Merson, Isak is the kind of player that would “take Arsenal to the next level.

Merson stated that if he was Arsenal and had the money, he would go all out and buy Isak.

“I’d break the bank for him. He’s the best of the best and takes Arsenal to another level,” he said.

He added that a move for the Newcastle United star player would be a massive coup for Arsenal.

Should the North London express willingness to sign Isak, there are doubt the Magpies would be willing to let him leave, at least not in January.
