The Gunners have apparently been told by Porto that it will take an offer of £36m to sign midfielder Danilo Pereira.
The Portugal midfielder gave a come-and-get-me plea of sorts prior this week by conceding that he is a huge fan of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
The 28-year-old also recently connected with a move to Manchester United, has been at Porto since 2015 and is under contract for an additional two years.
There had been discussion that Danilo Pereira has a release clause in the area of £54m, yet Portuguese outlet Jornal de Noticias proposes that he is accessible for about £20m less.
Mikel Arteta is accepted to look for a holding midfielder in the shape of Danilo Pereira to either swap or give competition to Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi and Granit Xhaka.
