Tactical mistake Sheffield United made against Arsenal revealed
Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry in a recent statement has pointed out the tactical mistake Sheffield United manager, Chris Wilder made during their Premier League 6-0 defeat against the Gunners on Monday.
The Gunners thrashed Sheffield thanks to goals from Martin Odegaard, Jayden Bogle (own goal), Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Ben White.
When asked whether he thought the scoreline was due to Arsenal’s brilliance or Sheffield United’s woefulness, Henry suggested that Wilder would have played with five defenders against Arsenal and ensured his side made it hard for them.
“A bit of both. It is easy to be sitting here, watching the game when you are not the coach,” Henry told Sky Sports.
“Playing Arsenal in a back four was extremely brave. You have to play them in a back five. If Arsenal play like that and you don’t bite, without stepping up… it is just not good enough. Too easy.
“It is going to be a long night for Wilder and an enjoyable one for Arsenal.”
