Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made it clear that his side will not hand Liverpool the Premier League title without a fight.

With just six games remaining, the title race is nearing its conclusion, and Liverpool could mathematically secure the championship as early as Easter Sunday—if results go their way.

For Liverpool to be crowned champions this weekend, Arsenal must lose to Ipswich Town at Portman Road, while Liverpool would need to beat Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. However, Arteta is determined to delay any celebrations.

“We will make sure we win the game against Ipswich, and that doesn’t happen,” Arteta said, referencing Liverpool’s potential early title win.

The Arsenal boss made the statement after guiding his team to an impressive 2-1 win at the Santiago Bernabéu, sealing a dominant 5-1 aggregate victory over Real Madrid and securing a place in the Champions League semi-finals.

Despite a strong showing in Europe, Arsenal have struggled to maintain consistency in the league. They currently sit 13 points behind leaders Liverpool with only 18 points left to play for, following back-to-back draws against Everton and Brentford.

Last season, Arsenal pushed Manchester City to the final weeks of the campaign but have failed to match Liverpool’s relentless pace this term. Nevertheless, Arteta remains focused on finishing the season strongly and is committed to ensuring Liverpool’s celebrations are put on hold—for now.
