Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville as Xabi Alonso looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Blues are keen to add a versatile forward this summer and have been linked with several high-profile names. Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers remains a long-term target, but his reported £130 million valuation has prompted Chelsea to explore more affordable alternatives.

According to reports from Italy, Summerville has emerged as a serious option following his impressive individual performances despite West Ham’s disappointing campaign. The Netherlands international scored seven goals during the 2025/26 season, but was unable to prevent the Hammers from suffering relegation to the Championship.

Chelsea are also said to be assessing Bologna winger Jonathan Rowe and Sporting CP attacker Francisco Trincao as they evaluate the best fit for Alonso’s tactical plans.

However, the Blues could face stiff competition from Manchester United. The Red Devils are also believed to be monitoring Summerville’s situation and could launch a move after West Ham’s relegation increased the likelihood of the winger leaving the London Stadium.

Summerville further enhanced his reputation with his displays at the World Cup, attracting interest from several leading European clubs. His pace, direct dribbling and ability to operate across multiple attacking positions make him an attractive target for teams seeking greater depth in the final third.

With Chelsea expected to remain active in the transfer market, the race for Summerville could intensify over the coming weeks as both Premier League rivals look to strengthen their squads before the new season begins.
