Manchester City have reasons to be worried of how their performance would go for the rest of the season.

This comes as the Citizens’ midfielder, Rodri in a recent update has been tipped to miss the rest of this season.

Recall that Rodri was substituted during Man City’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

A report via ESPN disclosed that an initial tests have revealed that the Spaniard tore his anterior cruciate ligament, ACL, in the right knee.

The midfielder is set to go for more tests but everything points towards an ACL tear.

The 28-year-old, who is one of the players nominated for next month’s Ballon d’Or award, is likely to undergo surgery in Barcelona.

Rodri’s role in Pep Guardiola’s team is well-documented, with Man City losing three of the four Premier League fixtures the 28-year-old missed last season.

Aside from Rodri, the Citizens also have concerns about their talisman Kevin DeBruyne, who also recently sustained an injury.

The Citizens may make some new signings in January transfer window if the update about Rodri is confirmed.

Meanwhile, Man City will return to action during the week when they play against Watford in the EFL Cup.
