Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has named a young player from the club’s academy that can replaced injured captain Martin Odegaard.

Recall that Odegaard sustained an ankle injury while on international duty with Norway and according to a recent update by manager Mikel Arteta, he will be away for an extended period on the sidelines.

In his absence, Kai Havertz started in the No.10 role for the North London Derby 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

While Jorginho was handed the captain armband against the Hotspurs, Nwaneri played the final four minutes of the victory, impressing the Italian midfielder with his performance.

Speaking about Nwaneri in a pre-match statement, Jorginho described him as a young lad who is growing a lot and is improving every single day.

He added that Nwaneri is a talented player with good skills who can dribble, break lines, find the goal and find the pass,

The former Chelsea midfielder believes the youngster with the right opportunity and game time will be able to gain more experience that will help boost his confidence.
