Liverpool will return to action in the Premier League this weekend after they defeated Chelsea at Anfield in their last outing in the tournament.

Ahead of their trip to Emirates Stadium where they will player Arsenal on Sunday, the Reds manager, Arne Slot, has confirmed striker Diogo Jota will not be fit for the match.

Jota sustained a rib injury, which he picked up during a tussle with the Blues defender Tosin Adarabioyo last weekend.

He will not available for the game against the Gunners after missing the midweek win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

There are also chances that Slot will also likely be without Federico Chiesa and Conor Bradley again, while Harvey Elliott and Alisson remain on the injury table.

When asked about injuries, Slot in a pre-match conference with reporters on Friday said he thinks they feel good but not when it comes to playing.

“Federico might train with us on Friday or tomorrow but Diogo definitely not – and Conor, let’s see,” he said.

The Reds will hope to maintain their top form by defeating Arsenal, while the Gunners will be hoping to bounce back after they lost to Bournemouth.
