Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta is on his way to set a not so good record at the North London club as they could miss playing in Europe next season.

This would make it the first time in 25 years Arsenal will miss playing in Europe, that is the Uefa Champions League or Europa League.

However, Arteta has threatened an overhaul in his Arsenal squad as he said it’s time for the club to maximize what they have.

Arsenal lost an opportunity to play in Europe next season after they were dumped from the Europa League by Villarreal on Thursday night.

Their only chance is to make it to the top six on the Premier league table, but the Gunners are presently seated at the ninth spot, making it a difficult task to achieve.

Following a disappointing end to the campaign, Arteta is set to revamp his players ahead of next season.

“This year is not year one. I think a project has its phases and I am telling you we are in a much better position today to be where we want to be very soon, if we do what we have to do. But we have to be ruthless.”

He noted that it was time for the Gunners to see what they have and maximise it to get what they want.
