Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in a recent statement has revealed his side are working to strengthen their attack line in the January transfer window.

This comes after Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus joined the list of Arsenal players current on injury.

Arteta’s comment comes after the Gunners defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on Wednesday in a North London derby.

While the Gunners managed to secure three points off the Spurs, they, however, lacked a killer edge with their goals coming from a set-piece and a shot from Leandro Trossard which goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky should have saved.

When asked if Arsenal are looking for reinforcements up front, Arteta responded to TNT Sports in affirmative.

He stressed that Arsenal lost two big players in Saka, who could be out for up to three months, and then Jesus who will be out for a long time.

“We are going to try [in this window] for sure. We are actively looking. We will try. Let’s see what we can get,” he said.
