Former Arsenal star Patrick Vieira has sent a message to the club’s manager Mikel Arteta about their youngster Ethan Nwaneri.

Vieira warned Arteta against giving Nwaneri a regular first-team minutes before the youngster is ready.

It is no news that Nwaneri has been impressive for the Gunners and is considered one of the next great young talent since he made his Premier League debut at the age of 15 in 2022.

The 17-year-old recently made headlines after he scored a superb goal on Wednesday as Arsenal defeated Preston North End 3-0 in the Carabao Cup.

So far, the youngster has made just four brief cameo appearances in the Premier League this season.

However, some football lovers have called on Arteta to give Nwaneri more playing time in the Premier League this season.

But Vieira is against it as he warned the Gunners boss not to give in to fans’ desires.

Vieira while speaking via Betting expert’s website said that with Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Raheem Sterling, and Kai Havertz, competition is enormous at Arsenal.

“He has great potential, and I’m confident Mikel Arteta will gradually give him his chance,” Vieira said.

The former player added that because the squad is stretched doesn’t mean Nwaneri should play every three days.
