Arsenal suffered a defeat as their manager Mikel Arteta in a post-match statement said William Saliba’s red card ensured they had an impossible task against Bournemouth.

The North London club lost 2-0 to Bournemouth after going down to 10 men in the first half.

Recall that Saliba was sent off for a last-man tackle following a poor back pass from Leandro Trossard.

Bournemouth won the match thanks to goals from Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert in the second half as they won all three points against the Gunners.

Arteta while speaking to the press after the game said the Gunners were obviously disappointed with the result and gutted because they have to play another game in that context.

“With 10 men for 60, 65 minutes at this level, it’s just impossible,” Arteta said.
