Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has voiced out his frustrations over his team form in front of goal as they were beaten by a resurgent Aston Villa side.

The Gunners were favourite to win the game following their form in the last few weeks but they suffered their second consecutive Premier League defeat as they went behind in just the second minute.

Aston Villa pounced on a defensive error from Cedric Soares as forward Ollie Watkins dispatched the chance to bag his tenth league goal of the season.

Though Arsenal saw some huge chances to snatch a draw, they ended up on the losing side and Arteta is not pleased.

Speaking after the defeat, Arteta told BBC Sport that he’s extremely disappointed to lose and the way they lost it.

According to the former Arsenal playmaker, they were the better team as his team controlled every department but gave Aston Villa the ball.

He noted that his players gave Villa three big chances than when they had to score the goal, his players didn’t find the right pass or the right shot.

Arteta insisted that Aston Villa were better in the boxes and that’s how you win games as his team created enough opportunities but didn’t score so it’s impossible to win the game.
