Arsenal Slash Asking Price as Summer Exit Looms for Struggling Forward

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to lower their asking price for Gabriel Jesus as they look to reshape Mikel Arteta’s squad during the summer transfer window.

While the Gunners are expected to make only a handful of additions ahead of the new season, outgoing transfers are likely to play a crucial role in their recruitment plans. Sporting director Andrea Berta is keen to maximise revenue through player sales before pursuing further signings, with several members of the current squad attracting interest from clubs across Europe.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli have both been linked with potential moves away from the Emirates, but Gabriel Jesus has also emerged as a leading candidate to depart.

The Brazilian striker is entering the final year of his contract, and Arsenal are reportedly open to offers after an injury-hit spell in north London. Since arriving from Manchester City, Jesus has shown flashes of his quality but has struggled to maintain consistency due to recurring fitness issues.

Last season, the 29-year-old made 27 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing two assists. Those numbers have fallen short of expectations for a player once viewed as Arsenal’s first-choice striker.

With Arsenal now looking to refresh their attacking options, the club are believed to have reduced their valuation of Jesus in an effort to attract potential buyers and avoid losing him for free when his contract expires.

Although no agreement has yet been reached with any interested club, lowering the asking price could accelerate negotiations in the coming weeks. If a suitable offer arrives, Arsenal appear ready to sanction the Brazilian’s departure as they continue reshaping the squad for another Premier League title challenge.
