Arsenal receive official offer from Porto for defender

Arsenal are keen on offloading their defender Jakub Kiwior before the summer transfer window closes.

A recent report disclosed that the North London club have received an official offer from Porto for the defender.

Arsenal are working on signing a new central defender, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie being the prime target.

While negotiations are underway for him, the Gunners will have to sell Kiwior to create a space for him in their squad.

However, the German club want his €60 million (£52m) release clause to be triggered, but Hincapie has personally requested the hierarchy to accept €45m (£39m) for his potential transfer.

Amid this, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, reported that Arsensl have received an official bid from Porto for Kiwior, who has already agreed personal terms with the Portuguese club.

Porto have tabled a loan deal with an obligation to buy permanently. They are prepared to pay in excess of €25 million (£22m), including add-ons, to sign the Polish star.

Kiwior is also determined to leave Arsenal having fall behind William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes in central defence.

A move to Porto FC could hand him more game time in his football career.
