Why Ronaldo left Juve for Man Utd

Manchester United star and Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford last summer from Italian club Juventus.

Even though Ronaldo has spent some months at Man Utd, his return to the club continues to raise dust.

In a recent statement Italian legend, Dino Zoff has revealed why Ronaldo left Turin to rejoin Manchester United in the summer.

According to Zoff, the Portugal international left because the Old Lady asked ‘him for the moon.’

He stressed that Ronaldo couldn’t achieve all that was expected of him by Juventus all by himself as he is a human being.

Ronaldo moved to Juve at a time when he won his fourth UEFA Champions League trophy with Real Madrid.

The Italian side had hoped his arrival would help them win a UCL, which didn’t happen, but the Portuguese striker won five trophies for Juve with two Italian Seria A titles.

“It is not about wisdom, but about decisions. In this case, mainly the player. That’s the way it is with champions. Then, let’s face it: he couldn’t do it all by himself. They asked him for the moon, and they expected it. No mistake granted, but he too, like us, is a person”, Dino told Italian daily Tuttosport.
