The season is close to coming to an end and Premier Leagues clubs including Man Utd will have to start strategizing on how to bolster thier squad ahead of next season.

While the Red Devils are not contenders for the Premier League title, they, however, have a ending the season with a trophy if they are able to defeat their arch-rivals Man City in the FA Cup final.

However, former Manchester United star Juan Mata issued an advice to the club ahead of next season.

Mata who described the Red Devils current captain Bruno Fernandes as a “great leader” advised that the “culture of the club should be built around him.”

Amid the Red Devils’ woes Fernandes has been impressive scoring six goals and given one assist in his last four matches.

However, the Portuguese’s role  has been frequently questioned since he replaced defender Harry Maguire in July 2023.

Speaking with ESPN, Mata on Thursday said Fernandes’ consistent performances and role-model status make him an important figure at the club.

He further believe the midfielder will be a role model for the new generation of Man Utd players including Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, and Rasmus Højlund.
