West Ham united coach, David Moyes has spoken on the future of Jesse Lingard at the club ahead of the summer transfer window.

Moyes in a statement hinted that the club is working on signing Lingard permanently when the transfer window commences.

This is as a result of the fact that Lingard who joined the Hammers on loan in January has been n impressive so far as he has scored four times and provided two assists in six outings.

While Lingard is expected to return to Old Trafford this summer, Moyes disclosed that West Ham will look to sign the England international on a long-term basis.

“‘” The job is to try to add to that. But I would hope Jesse sees this as a good place if it’s possible to be done, and if we think that we want to do it at the end of the season,” Moyes said.

The West Ham coach also revealed that aside from Lingard, the Hammers are working on attracting new players to the team.

It remains unknown if Man Utd will allow West Ham to sign Lingard permanently but Moyes could make use of his influence as former coach at Old Trafford to get the deal done.
