Man Utd new interim coach Ralf Rangnick has given an update on defender Victor Lindelof’s injury situation.

Rangnici, in a post-match statement, confirmed that Lindelof is now okay.

This comes after the Swedes had trouble breathing during the second half of the Manchester United clash at Norwich, with the game-ending in a 1-0 win for the Red Devils.

Lindelof was substituted in the 74th minute for Eric Bailly as he appeared to have been out of breath and clutching his chest, but it was unclear what he had suffered.

The Red Devils players appeared concerned for Lindelof’s well-being as he sat on the turf, after which he walked off and was examined by the club doctor, Steve McNally.

While the medical staff did tests on Lindelof in the dressing room, Rangnick said stressed that they would continue to monitor Lindelof for improvement.

“He can’t even remember himself how it happened,” Rangnick said.

“I think he had a collision with another player and he had problems to breathe for more than 10 minutes. His heart-rate was higher than normal and he was a little bit shocked, he didn’t know how to deal with it. We had to replace him.

“After the game, we did some check-ups and some examinations by the doctor, it seems everything is okay. We still have to see how he is doing tomorrow. Hopefully, he will be fit for the game against Brentford.”
