La Liga Champion Atletico Madrid are reportedly eyeing Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard over a move to Spain this summer transfer window.

Jesse Lingard failed to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team and was forced to play the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United.

The England international proved his worth under the guidance of David Moyes, scoring nine times and registering five assists in just 16 appearances for the Hammers.

Though West Ham United have shown interest in signing Lingard on a permanent deal this summer, they are yet to agree on a deal with Manchester United.

Multiple reports claim the Hammers can’t afford Lingard, and Atletico Madrid are set to pounce on that opportunity by signing the Englishman.

According to 90min, Atletico have already approached Man United to register their interest in Lingard ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

According to the report, Diego Simeone is a big fan of Lingard as he loves his energy and ability to play in a number of different, forward areas.

Atletico Madrid might be having a say in the transfer with United ready to let go of some players following the confirmation of Jadon Sancho’s deal from Borussia Dortmund.
