Manchester United star Marcus Rashford’s loan transfer to Barcelona has faced a set back as the Spanish club could face issues with La Liga to register him this summer.

Recall that Barcelona agreed a deal to take Rashford on a season-long loan from Man Utd with an option to buy permanently.

The signing of the England forward could be announced as early as Wednesday.

However, a report via Sky Sports disclosed that the Catalans will be unable to register Rashford due to their ongoing financial issues.

To register Rashford, Barcelona will have to make sales or loans out players to free up space for the Manchester United forward in their squad.

Barca failed to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao this summer, as they could not assure the winger that he would be registered by La Liga.

With more time still available to them, Barcelona might be able to resolve the issues and get Rashford’s registration done.
