Former Man Utd legend Roy Keane has advised coach Ralf Rangnick on what to do about the current woes at Old Trafford.

Keane urged Keane to build his team around the trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Bruno Fernandes.

This comes after Man United’s Premier League 2-2 draw against Aston Villa at the weekend.

Keane, who had backed the idea of rebuilding Man United, was asked on Sky Sports who of Man United’s current team he would build the team around. He replied: “I don’t know, I really don’t.

“Bruno, sure, people like Ronaldo, Varane, there are some good young players there.”

Keane added: “If a top coach comes in – at least for a good starting point – there are senior players there, at least their contracts are nearly up you can move them on, get some fresh young talent in at United.”

As of now, Man Utd are seated at the seventh spot on the league table and would find it hard to return to the top four this season.
