The recent reports have revealed that Man Utd midfielder and Portugal international Bruno Fernandes could be on his way to sign a new bumper contract with the Red Devils.

While his current contract doesn’t lapse until 24/25 season, the reports revealed that the Red Devils are impressed by his performance and are willing to hand him a new deal.

The Sun in its reports revealed that Fernandes could get a new deal that would see him earn a new wage worth £300k-a-week deal at Old Trafford.

If this becomes a reality, Fernandes will become one the highest earners at Old Trafford alongside Paul Pogba and David de Gea.

The reports revealed that the Portuguese star’s agent Miguel Pinho wanted to include a release clause into any new deal for the midfielder but the Red Devils chiefs were said to have swiftly rejected that proposal.

So far this season, Fernandes, 27, already has three goals to his name, all of which came in Man Utd opening-day thrashing of Leeds United.

Since arriving at Old Trafford in January 2020, Fernandes has scored 43 goals and made 25 assists in 83 appearances for the club in all competitions.
