Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Leny Yoro as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed he has completed the first part of his medical,.

The Red Devils appear to have defeated La Liga giants Real Madrid in the race to sign Yoro, who had expressed interest to play for the Los Blancos.

Real Madrid were not will to over spend their budget on the Lille teenager, which made Man Utd unseat them in the rave last week as they tabled a bid of €50 million upfront and €12m in potential add-ons.

Other reports claimed the entire package of the deal for Yoro could rise to as high as €70m when completed.

In an unexpected twist for Real Madrid, Lille accepted Man Utd’s bid serving the Los Blancos a blow.

The Spanish club had hope Yoro would remain at Lille for another season and would run out of his deal to join them next summer.

But he is now close to moving to Old Trafford as a report on Wednesday disclose that Yoro had agreed to a Man Utd transfer on Tuesday evening.

The youngster flew to Manchester for his medical, with the first part having taken place on Wednesday, while a second physical examination is expected to take place soon.
