Manchester United to sell 2020 summer signing to fund deal for England international

Alex Telles might have played his last game for Manchester United as they were reportedly willing to sell him to fund the deal for Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier.

Manchester United’s failure to win silverware last season has seen them linked with top star across Europe.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team are willing to add more quality to their squad with Harry Kane, Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland linked with the red devils.

However, things might change in the defence as Alex Telles, who joined Porto last season, might be sold to fund a deal that’ll bring Kieran Tripplier to United.

Telles joined United last summer but was unable to break into the first team due to the form of Luke Shaw.

He featured just nine times in the Premier League for United, starting eight of them, and there are reports that he’s looking for a way out of the club.

Sky Sport has now reported that Manchester United are willing to sell him so they can secure more fund that will bring Tripplier from Atletico Madrid.

United are reportedly looking for a player that will compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back and believes Tripplier is the man for the job.

His experience at Tottenham Hotspur has also been highlighted, but Atletico are standing firm on their £43m asking price.
