Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has revealed that his father suffered from suspected broken ribs by ticketless fans who breached security at Wembley at the Euro 2020 final.

England reached the final of Euro 2020 with football lovers eager to see their team lift the trophy.

Though Italy beat them on penalties, the match had many talking points with fans without tickets forcing their way into the stadium.

Maguire, who played from start to finish and dispatched his penalty in England’s shoot-out defeat, has now revealed the scary moment his father went through.

Speaking with The Sun, the 28-year-old- stated that his dad was in the stampede, and he has not spoken with him too much, but he is pleased his kids didn’t go to the game.

Maguire noted that it was scary as his father said he was scared and don’t want anyone to experience that at a football match.

The England international stated that he has seen many videos and have spoken to his dad and family.
