FA Cup: Man Utd get triple injury boost ahead of match vs Liverpool
Manchester United led by manager Erik ten Hag have been handed a triple injury boost ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final game against Liverpool.
The Red Devils will hope to defeat Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday as the FA Cup represents their last chance of silverware for this season.
Liverpool on the other hand have already won the Carabao Cup and could soon include the FA Cup in their collection this season.
Ahead of the match, Ten Hag in a pre-match statement confirmed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Rasmus Hojlund, and Harry Maguire were back in training.
“We had a good week. The players you mentioned (Hojlund, Maguire and Wan-Bissaka) returned on the pitch, partly at the start of the week and today they had a session and are all training,” Ten Hag told reporters.
“I think [they will be fit to play]. Tomorrow, we have one session. We have to see how they recover from this but it looks good.”
