Uruguay’s assistant coach has advised Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani to consider leaving the club during the summer.

Cavani has become one of United’s most trusted player ever since he moved to the club from Paris Saint-Germain, scoring goals whenever he’s available.

However, Cavani’s contract with United is set to expire in June and he has been linked with some clubs including Argentinian outfit Boca Juniors.

United are also eager to tie him down to another deal that will see him play for at least another season in England with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.

However, Uruguay assistant coach Mario Rebollo when asked about the Cavani rumours told Uruguayan source Two De Punta (via Goal) that it helps the national team if Cavani goes to Boca or wherever.

He noted that the priority is that he plays where he is comfortable and with a good competitive level. If he’s close to here it’d be great, but if he’s not comfortable he would not bear it much.

Rebollo added that it would be good for Uraguay if Cavani plays where he feels most comfortable as it makes no difference to him if it’s Boca or another place, just where he’s better.

He pinpointed that the team need to have him Cavani rhythm and competition.
