Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally opened up on the main reason why he decided to leave inform midfielder Bruno Fernandes on the bench in their FA Cup defeat to Leicester City.

Solskjaer and his United team were outclassed by Leicester City at the King Power Stadium but attention were paid to the starting lineup.

The United manager left out some players including Bruno Fernandes who has become the most trusted player for the past few months.
Man Utd probably could have done with a key player like Fernandes starting such a big game, but Solskjaer insists the Portugal international is not super-human and is tired after playing so many games for the club this season.

Fans have been sceptical of Solskjaer’s selection and the Norwegian defended his decision to drop Fernandes on the bench.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Solskjaer stated that every team selection has reasons behind it.

According to Solskjaer, Bruno Fernandes has played very, very much football as he broke all his records on Thursday night at the San Siro physically statistically, and the boy is not inhuman.

Solskjaer noted that Fernandes is also a human being and he’s played a game every three or four days really so it was a chance to start to both Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba.

He added that the accumulation of games may be caught up with the team but he knows Bruno wants to play but sometimes you make decisions for the benefit of both the team and him.
