Manchester United will be heading into the Premier League on Saturday in what could be their most difficult match this season when they face rivals, Manchester City.

The Red Devils had a tough week as they were dumped from the Champions league by RB Leipzig and have moved to the Europa League.

A report has disclosed that Man Utd manager, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer could be under pressure to perform.

Football pundit, Paul Merson stated that the match against Man City could be a determining factor on whether Ole will remain a manager at Old Trafford or not.

Merson stressed that although the game could suit United’s style of play, he however said a defeat for Solskjaer should spell the end of his time at Old Trafford.

According to him, the only reason, Ole may not lose his job is if the club management is happy with him.

“For me, this is a massive football match. I would say that if he doesn’t get through this, that could be it. I think it’s make or break for Ole. That is, unless Man Utd have a different plan, and think differently about this club than everyone else,” Merson told Sky Sport.
