Man Utd’s injury boost: Mount, Hojlund react to their return
Manchester United have been handed major boosts ahead of their weekend game against Crystal Palace with the return of Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund.
Mount and Hojlund who have reunited with their teammates both expressed their delight at returning to training as they eye potential spots in the squad against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
While Hojlund has not feature for Erik ten Hag this season due to a hamstring injury that he sustained during his first pre-season game of the summer against Arsenal in the United States, Mount, on the other hand, has been sidelined since the Red Devils’ second match against Brighton & Hove Albion this season.
The former Chelsea star picked up a muscular problem in the first half of the match.
Mount had been expected to be out of action until the start of October, but the midfielder returned to training on Wednesday.
“Back with the mad man,” Mount wrote this official Instagram page while sharing a picture of him and Hojlund in training.
Hojlund also shared pictures from the training ground on his page.
Ten Hag is expected to give an update on Mount and Hojlund’s fitness during his pre-match conference ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
