Former Man Utd star and sport pundit, Rio Ferdinand has said the Red Devils don’t have the experience to win the Champions League this season.

According to him, Man Utd are not in the same category with Man City and Liverpool who have won the Premier League with the Reds having won the Champions League in the 2019/20 football season.

Even though Man Utd have gone ahead to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sacho among others, Ferdinand believe they are still not experience.

The last time the Res Devils won an European trophy was in 2017, when they won the Europa League.

”I think Man United’s not a problem, but where they’re behind the other three English teams, is the experience of winning things.

“All the other three English teams have won things, whether it be the Champions League or the Premier League. Man United have yet to do that as this group.

“That’s where they are lacking, and that’s where they’ve got to play catch up and they’ve got to do that this season. The transfer window for them has been impeccable, but that’s got to translate into trophies,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.
