Manchester United iconic defender Gary Neville has issued a strong warning to Ed Woodward who is in charge of of the club transfer policy ahead of the January transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been putting in some impressive performance over the past few weeks and they have been tipped to wrestle the title from Liverpool despite their slow start to the season.

United brought in Donny van de Beek from Ajax during the last transfer window as Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles on deadline day, a move that was not too pleasing to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Despite boasting of numerous attacking players in the team, United have been linked with Jadon Sancho as the Englishman has been their top target for the past few seasons.

Gary Neville who had a great career at United has now urged the board to only sign players that are needed.

The former United defender while speaking on his podcast believes the club should be looking at bringing in more quality players, but only if the price is right.

He noted that their recent performance against Leeds United and Everton shouldn’t deceive them but motivate the board into bringing in more experienced players.
