Man Utd get new CEO as Ed Woodward departs

There is a new change at Old Trafford following the appointment of their new CEO.

This comes as Manchester United have confirmed that their Executive Vice-Chairman, Ed Woodward, will step down from his role from the 1st of February 2022.

The club also announced that Richard Arnold, formerly Group Managing Director, will be the new Chief Executive Officer of the Club following Woodward’s departure.

This latest update was made public via the Man Utd website on Thursday.

The statement read: “Manchester United has announced that Richard Arnold, formerly Group Managing Director, will become Chief Executive Officer of the Club, effective from 1st February 2022.

“Ed Woodward will step down from his role as Executive Vice-Chairman, also effective from 1st February 2022.”

Reacting to his appointment, Arnold told the club’s official website: “I’m honoured to have the chance to serve this great club and its fans. I’m determined to return that honour in any way I can.”

Hopefully Arnold will help being about a new change at Old Trafford especially as they continue to struggle under their new coach Ralf Rangnick.
