Man Utd fans have been calling for the sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, especially after their recent defeat to Leicester City on Saturday in their first game after the International break.

It, however, looks like the Norway international wouldn’t be leaving Man Utd anytime soon as a report claimed the club’s board are solid behind him.

According to The Athletic, “Solskjaer’s position is 100% secured as things stand”.

Solskjaer recently just signed a new contract that ties him to Old Trafford until 2024 with the option of one more year.

However, Man Utd so far have it challenging this season as their recent defeat to Leicester City have seen them drop to the 5th spot on the EPL table.

It could get worse if Man Utd suffered another defeat to Liverpool at Old Trafford next week as they would see them move seven points clear of their rivals.

The Red Devils have lost two of their eight league matches and won half of them so far this season; they are currently seated at the fifth spot with 14 points.

Man Utd will face Atalanta in their next match in the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday night.
