Manchester United are reportedly considering a new replacement for their manager Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils are said to be considering Massimiliano Allegri a potential replacement for Ten Hag at Old Trafford.

Recall that the Red Devils hierarchy chose to keep Ten Hag at Old Trafford the summer despite the team finishing eighth in last season’s Premier League.

The major reason the Dutchman was retained was because of the Red Devils’ 2-1 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Ten Hag’s contract was then extended until the summer of 2026.

Man United recent goalless draw to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday made just two wins from five matches for them in the English top flight this season.

A report via Calciomercato, Allegri is on the Red Devils target list with initial discussion taking place with the experienced head coach.

Further reports revealed Man United were keen to know if Allegri would be interested in becoming their new manager if Ten Hag was sacked from his job.

The Italian allegedly wishes to manage a club in the Premier League and is hoping to land a big job in Europe despite being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
