Full list of Man Utd players that have returned to training ahead of next season

The recent report revealed that Manchester United’s first-team squad have returned to Carrington for the start of pre-season on Monday morning, ahead of the 2021/2022 campaign.

This will make it the first time, the players would be having their session under the new manager, Erik ten Hag.

The report revealed that a total of 20 senior players had their first session with Ten Hag, while a number of players were unavailable due to being on international duty with their countries earlier this month.

Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo is among the players that will return to pre-season training next Monday.

The likes of Raphael Varane, Alex Telles, Scott McTominay, James Garner, Fred, Hannibal Mejbri, Facundo Pellistri, Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Elanga were all also on international duty this month.

Below are the players that were present for the first day of pre-season training:

Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Tom Heaton, Nathan Bishop, Matej Kovar

Defenders: Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ethan Laird, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Luke Shaw, Brandon Williams, Alvaro Fernandez

Midfielders: Charlie Savage, Donny van de Beek

Forwards: Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony Martial, Amad and Shola Shoretire.
