Former Barcelona star wants to replace Amorim at Man Utd

Former Barcelona midfielder and manager, Xavi Hernandez has offer to replace Ruben Amorim as Manchester United manager.
According to the BBC, Xavi is determined to take up the Portuguese role. It is no longer news that Amorim is now under pressure at save his job at Old Trafford.
Under Amorim, Man Utd who finished out the top 10 on the league table, have started the 2025-26 season poorly, winning just two of their first seven games.
Their recent defeat to Brentford further placed him on the edge, with somes section of the club already calling for his sack.
Rumours have emerged that the Red Devils have drawn up a shortlist of possible replacements for Amorim.
But the BBC Sport reported that the Red Devils board remain ‘supportive’ of the Portuguese, who they believe can still prove himself.
However, should the poor form continue, Man Utd’s board will have to opt for another manager.
And football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, reported that Xavi has been ‘studying’ the EPL and would accept to coach Man Utd if handed an offer.
Romano added that the lack of European football would not deter Xavi.
Meanwhile, Man Utd and Amorim will return to action when they play against Sunderland at home.
