Ferguson tells Man Utd who to sign as Ten Hag’s replacement
Legendary Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, is also rooting for the club to get a new manager to replace Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
A recent report revealed that Ferguson has personally endorsed Massimiliano Allegri as his ideal candidate to take over from Ten Hag if he is relieved of his duties.
As of now, Ten Hag is under intense pressure at Old Trafford after a dreadful start to the new campaign.
Recall that the Red Devils boss managed to retain his role despite finishing in eighth place last season because he won the FA Cup against Man City in the final.
The decision was reached after Man Utd contacted several managers at the start of the summer, including former Chelsea managers Graham Potter, and Thomas Tuchel as well as England coach Gareth Southgate.
But the 3-0 embarrassing defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday has now amplified calls for Ten Hag to be sacked, especially among Man Utd fans
There are reports that the 54-year-old manager now has two matches to save his job at Old Trafford.
A report via La Gazzetta dello Sport disclosed that the Red Devils are eyeing Simone Inzaghi as a potential “stop-gap solution”.
The report further claimed Ferguson has recommended Allegri as his preferred candidate for Ten Hag at the Theatre of Dreams.
