Man Utd returned to action on Tuesday night after they hosted Brighton at Old Trafford in the EPL.

The Red Devils were able to win the game on a 2-0 scoreline and have now moved to the 4th spot on the EPL table.

This comes after Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes scored one goal each to secure all three points for the Red Devils.

One of the Red Devils players that was noticeably absent during the match was Raphael Varane

In a post-match statement, Man Utd interim coach Ralf Rangnick has revealed why Varane was dropped out of his squad for the game against Brighton.

Rang ick revealed that Varane fell ill before the game and was replaced by Victor Lindelof.

Despite Varane’s absence, Man United were able to return to winning ways in the Premier League by defeating Graham Potter’s men.

The Red Devils had drawn their last two fixtures 1-1 against Burnley and Southampton.

Brighton travelled to Old Trafford following Saturday’s 2-0 win at Watford.

Their latest defeat to Man United would see them drop from the eighth spot they were formerly seated.
