Man Utd were in action on Sunday during their game vs West Ham in the Premier League.

The Red Devils won the match in a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo as well as a late goal from Jesse Lingard at the 89th minute.

However, one of the match’s highlights was the moment David De Gea saved a penalty for the Red Devils.

The Red Devils goalie was unexpectedly thrown into the spotlight in the last minute of the game when West Ham was handed a controversial late penalty by referee Martin Atkinson over a handball from Luke Shaw.

De Gea would go ahead to save the penalty, which was taken by Mark Noble as Man Utd went on to win all three points.

“It was a bit crazy at the end, a great goal of Jesse, a stupid penalty, lucky penalty for them at the end of the game,” De Gea told MUTV.

De Gea revealed he was expecting Declan Rice to take the penalty, but instead, West Ham made a strange decision by letting Noble take it.

The Man Utd goalie expressed his excitement for helping the team win all three points, which could have been shared if he didn’t make the save.
