Amorim could be on his way out? Sutton faults these two players
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim could soon join his predecessor Erik ten Hag as he finds himself under pressure at Old Trafford.
Former Chelsea star, Chris Sutton, tipped that Amorim could soon find himself on his way out of the club owing to the Red Devils poor form.
Sutton in his comment, however, criticised both Manchester United goalkeepers Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir.
This comes after Onana and Bayindir’s recent errors in games as they both conceded from corner-kicks, a rare occurrence, in separate matches in one week.
Recall that Amorim opted for Bayindir at the goal for the Red Devils’ Carabao Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur on December 19.
During the match, the goalie allowed a corner-kick from Heung-Min Son find its way into the net in the second half, which saw the North London club win with a 4-3 scoreline.
However, a week later, Onana Alps conceded a similar goal from Matheus Cunha in Manchester United’s 2-0 loss to Wolves.
In a statement via BBC Sport, Sutton likened the goalkeepers’ mistakes to those made by U-12 players.
Sutton who said he was not concerned about Amorim getting sacked expressed worries about Man Utd goalkeepers.
