Liverpool forward Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have not had a good start to his Liverpool career but the former Arsenal player is positive of what the future will bring.

Chamberlain showed glimpse of what he can offer in his first year at Liverpool as he was the first man on the team list every weekend.

However, that good form was cut short by a catastrophic knee injury that put him on the shelf for 300+ days.

Since then Chamberlain has struggled to stay fit and regain that form but the 27 year old is eager to turn things around this season with Jurgen Klopp trying to change his position in the team.

Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Chamberlain expressed his thoughts and feelings about playing the false nine.

Chamberlain stated that it’s a new little role which he quite enjoy.

According to the England international, the role is similar in ways to how the more advanced midfielder plays in the team but little bit different defensively, which he’s trying to get used to as well.

However, Chamberlain insisted that Firminho who has been playing in thay position does it better than anyone in world football and it’s not easy to follow him doing that.

Chamberlain added that he’s enjoying the new role and if he play more often in that position, his main task is to contribute with goals because he feel like the team create a lot in and around that area.

The former Arsenal forward added that he feels like he can score goals and Liverpool fans will be banking on him to do that.
