Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has given a fresh update about the injury that forced him to pull out of England’s squad for the European Championships.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was undoubtedly going into Euro 2020 after his mixed performance for Liverpool during the 2020/21 season, but he was selected as part of Gareth Southgate’s 26-man preliminary squad.

Though his selection raised eyebrows amid fans, a thigh injury in England’s final warm-up game meant Alexander-Arnold was forced to withdraw from the squad.

With Liverpool set to start preseason in the next few weeks, Alexander-Arnold has given fans an update they will be happy to hear.

Speaking with BBC, Alexander-Arnold stated that every day is a new step and every day, he is getting better and getting fitter.

Alexander-Arnold stated that going into pre-season will be good, and he’s having a few weeks rest, hitting the season and pushing on from there.

According to the England international, it isn’t very pleasant for him personally not to be there, but it still puts a smile on his face seeing the lads doing well, going far and seeing the nation get behind them.
