Premier League outfit Liverpool are still in the transfer market for a forward and are reportedly in direct contact with PSV Eindhoven forward, Donyell Malen’s agent.

The reds currently boast of the likes of Salah, Mane, Firminho and Jota as their first choice in the attacking department but want to add more quality.

Various reports have claimed Divock Origi is seeking a move out of the club after failing to play an essential role for Liverpool last season.

Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri has also been linked with a move away from the club, with Malen identified as a perfect replacement for both players.

With Borussia Dortmund also willing to sign Malen on a permanent deal, Liverpool are reportedly one step ahead of the German side.

According to Voetbal International journalist Marco Timmer, Malen’s agent Mino Raiola is holding discussions with Liverpool over a potential move for his client.

Despite Liverpool’s move, Timmer also stated that Dortmund are also speaking to Raiola as they are eager to go head to head with Jurgen Klopp’s team for the signature of Malen during this summer’s transfer window.

Malen, who represented Arsenal between 2015 and 2017, has scored 55 times and registered 24 assists in 116 appearances for his current side.
