Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that his team might not make the top four just months after they were won the Premier League in a spectacular manner.

Jurgen Klopp and his team have not been consistent this season as there were forced to settle for a one nil win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.

This win was only their fourth in the league since Christmas moving to them within five points of Chelsea in the final Champions League qualification.

However, Klopp believes his side still has a long way to go when it comes beating the likes of Chelsea for the top four place.

Klopp while speaking to German newspaper Bild stated that he like to be an optimist, but in the league it is almost impossible to qualify in the competition for the Champions League places that we have.

The German noted that at Tottenham, Gareth Bale is now playing again, and they are also in the running plus Manchester City and United, who are far away.

He pinpointed that Chelsea are on the rise and so reaching Champions League qualification through the league will be difficult and his team know that.

Klopp added that a team don’t usually win the Champions League itself in a year with injury worries as big as they have then in the worst case it will be next year, no Champions League, maybe Europa League, although that is not guaranteed either.
