Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp in a recent statement has confirmed that one of his forwards and Senegal international, Sadio Mane has apologized for his conduct during their game vs. Man Utd in the Premier League.

This comes after Mane refused to give the coach a handshake following their win vs. the Red Devils.

Klopp in the match had kept the Senegal international on the bench and brought him on with 16 minutes to stoppage time as Liverpool defeated Man United, thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino (2), Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.

But as the teams returned to the tunnel after the final whistle, Mane refused the offer of a handshake from Klopp. He walked away shaking his head.

Mane’s action was heavily criticised by a lot of football fans who considered it a disrespect to the coach.

However, Klopp has confirmed that Mane has apologized to him.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Klopp said: “We spoke and he apologised. That is clear and that is it.”
