The latest report has revealed that Spanish giant, Barcelona are willing to let Liverpool sign Phillipe Coutinho for free in the summer transfer window.

Recall that the Brazil international departed Anfield for Camp Nou for a nine-figure sum in January 2018, however, his two-and-a-half-year performance with the Catalans has been below expectations.

The Brazil star was handed a new opportunity of life at the commencement of the 2020-21 season under coach Ronald Koeman, but a serious knee injury ruled him out for the second half of the season.

With this, Barcelona are open to offers for him from any club including Liverpool.

According to AS, it reported that Barcelona still owe Liverpool £50m from Coutinho’s move to Camp Nou, and the club are therefore exploring the possibility of letting the South American re-sign for the Reds for free in order to write off the debt.

The report claimed that Coutinho is still admired by those in the Liverpool dressing room, but his recent injury woes could lead Anfield chiefs to think twice about taking him back.

We will have to wait till the summer transfer window commences to know which clubs would be willing to sign Coutinho.
