Chelsea winger and Morocco star Hakim Ziyech has been left upset after his move to French club PSG failed to materialise.

Ziyech was linked with moves away from Chelsea during the 2023 January transfer window having only started just four Premier League matches this season.

The Morocco winger had reportedly accepted personal terms with PSG over a loan transfer to the French Ligue 1 champions, but it fell through.

According to the report, failure to submit documentation on time was the reason why the transfer didn’t happen.

Ziyech was said to be in Paris on transfer deadline day ready to be unveiled as a PSG player, but will now have to come back to London and finish the season with the Blues.

The report via Daily Telegraph revealed PSG are privately blaming Chelsea for not submitting documents to the French authorities before the deadline.

Aside from PSG, Ziyech was linked with moves to top European clubs in January, including Newcastle United, Everton and AS Roma.

He would now have to remain at Chelsea for the rest season and battle for game time with the new players.
